Spring is always a busy time at Bryn Mawr, with many favorite traditions and events to look forward to! Check out photos below from several of these. Above, third graders perform the traditional Maypole Dance to open the Bazaar.

Senior Bell Ringing

On May 22, their last day on campus, seniors rang the bell in the Library Quad with friends to celebrate the symbolic end of their Bryn Mawr experience. Congratulations, Class of 2017!

Upper School Faculty Show

The Upper School Faculty Show, a tradition beloved by students, featured a range of faculty talents this year, including a "Sonny and Cher" duet, juggling, a lip sync battle and more!

First Grade Ducklings

The Bryn Mawr first grade was excited to announce the birth of six ducklings between May 16 and 18: Angel, Duckie, Anny, Cutesy, Mac & Cheese and Ella. About a week after the ducklings were born, the girls got to take turns holding Mac & Cheese, the largest duckling, and they could not have been more excited! On May 26 the ducklings departed for their permanent home in Annapolis.

Gym Drill 2017

The weather wasn't the most agreeable on Saturday, May 6, but Gym Drill 2017 was still incredible. Congratulations to our seniors, the Class of 2017, and to the incomparable Diana Curran, who celebrated her final Gym Drill after a career spanning three decades!

International Bazaar

May 22 was the fourth grade International Bazaar, a beloved tradition for many decades. Girls representing countries as diverse as Senegal, Thailand, Australia and Denmark (and many more!) had a wonderful time showing off all that they have learned about their countries during the unit. All proceeds from the Bazaar will be donated to a charity of the girls' choosing.

Little School Petting Zoo

Little School students were thrilled to welcome Farmer Brandon and his menagerie to campus for a morning full of fun. Kids had a chance to get up close with pigs, ducklings, goats, rabbits, a llama and more!

Little School Authors Tea

Each year the Little School Authors Tea is a highlight anticipated by the oldest Little School students. After learning about the process of writing a story, children have a chance to write and illustrate an orginal story of their own (with the help of their teachers), which they then present to an audience of parents and teachers during the event. Congratulations to our blossoming authors!

Dance School Performance

On April 30, students in Bryn Mawr's Dance School programs showed off what they've been working on all year for an appreciative audience of family and friends. About 100 dancers in kindergarten through eighth grade performed jazz, tap, ballet and contemporary routines choreographed by teachers Emily Tankersley, Renuka Gandhi, Rakiya Brown, Kara Glinowiecki and Julianna Kronick. Congratulations to all of the performers!
