The duo of Hrithika Bhambhani ’19 and Abbey Hurlbrink ’20 finished second in the #2 doubles tournament. The cross country team also had a strong year, and saved their best for the championships. Three runners finished in the top 25: Susannah Yezzi ’20 at 14th overall, Helen Harrington ’18 at 20th, and Mayalen Brock ’18 at 23rd. In the Open, three girls finished in the top ten: Marina Miller ’21 placed sixth, just ahead of Kavya Uppalapati ’21 at seventh and Helen Dawson ’19, who was ninth. Overall, the team finished second!

From the field hockey team, two seniors – Sydney Stephenson and Gillian Roeca – were selected to the All-Conference team; Roeca was also selected by the Field Hockey Coaches Association of Maryland to participate in the 2017 Maryland Senior Game, which took place on November 15. The soccer team had a fun-filled year that included an exciting 1-0 win over Garrison Forest School in the first round of the tournament. In volleyball, the team was ranked as the eighth seed for the tournament, and hosted an intense first-round game against IND.
