Mawrtian Sports Report

A Roundup of the Fall Season

Bryn Mawr athletes had a great fall season filled with highlights, memories and many personal and team bests. Two of the biggest highlights of the fall season were second place finishes at championships from our cross country and field hockey teams!
Athletic Director Tina Veprek praised the athletes at the Fall Sports Assembly for their hard work, dedication and for representing Bryn Mawr well. "I hope the friendships forged, the memories created, the lessons learned and the healthy risks taken shaped a positive and unforgettable experience for each of you," Veprek said. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

National Letter of Intent Signing Day

On November 13, eight seniors committed to playing sports in college, and three signed their National Letters of Intent to play Division I sports. Assistant Athletic Director Brooke Shriver congratulated the athletes on their achievement, saying, “This is an amazing accomplishment and you should all be very proud. Not many high school athletes get to compete at the next level, and I am so happy each of you found your best fit.” Congratulations to Ashley Fearey (Dickinson Lacrosse), Alison Harbaugh (Notre Dame Lacrosse), Sophie Hood (Davidson Track and Field), Abbey Hurlbrink (Johns Hopkins Lacrosse), Emma Joyce (Tufts Lacrosse), Amelia King (Notre Dame of Maryland Volleyball), Kylie Taylor (Trinity Lacrosse) and Lindsay Thompson (George Washington University Tennis) on continuing their careers as student-athletes at the collegiate level!
