Basketball

The JV basketball team worked so hard throughout the season, their determination, focus, grit and resilience paid off as they finished the last four games of their season with a 3-1 mark.

Finally, Varsity Basketball took to the court with one goal in mind: a conference championship.  Earning an 11-2 conference record going into the tournament, the team delivered. On Sunday, Feb. 18, for only the second time in school history, the team delivered on their goal and brought home a championship with a 32-24 victory over Oldfields.

Squash

The JV Squash team cruised through the league amassing four solid wins and culminated their season by playing in the inaugural JV squash tournament where they impressively advanced to the semi-final round.

The Varsity Squash team literally squashed their opponents, finishing the regular season with a 10-1 record.  The team spent three days at the High School Squash National Finals in Philadelphia where they lived and breathed squash while representing Mawrtian Nation with precision on the court and a drive to be the best.  They were a formidable opponent to each team that had to face them.

Ice Hockey

Ice Hockey skated their way through the league with decisive wins over rivals St. Tim’s, St. John’s and Holy Cross. They capped their season with a shutout win over Holy Cross, a nice ending for the four seniors who dedicated four years to early morning practices that ended before the sun could even rise.

Swimming

Another dedicated bunch of early birds is the swim team. They finished in second place at the IAAM Championships, a repeat ranking from a year ago but also important to note that they cut the difference between them and the 1st place team in half from last year’s score.

The 200 medley relay team left all other teams in their wake as they took home first place, while the 200 free relay team donned a bronze medal in the event finals. A number of swimmers made it to the medal podium including; Nina Kolodgie ‘19, Isabel Verheyen ‘21, Minna Hudhud ‘21, and Olivia Boniface ‘19.
