We understand that a Bryn Mawr education is an investment in your daughter’s future. That’s why we offer a Flexible Tuition Program to ensure that the most qualified girls have the opportunity to attend Bryn Mawr, regardless of a family’s financial circumstances.

The amount a Bryn Mawr family pays in tuition varies and is based on each family’s unique financial picture. A family’s annual obligation is determined after a careful review of their Flexible Tuition application and upon the recommendations made by School & Student Services (SSS). A family’s tuition responsibility can range from $5,000 to $33,350. The average tuition reduction for a family who qualifies for Flexible Tuition is about half of the cost of attendance.

Any family may apply for our Flexible Tuition Program. Bryn Mawr reduces tuition and fees for more than one-third of Bryn Mawr students.

Who Should Apply

Bryn Mawr’s Flexible Tuition Program is open to all families. Families submit information about their financial resources to School & Student Services (SSS) and we use standard criteria to evaluate a family’s ability to pay the tuition. While it is difficult to define a “typical” Flexible Tuition candidate, common threads among families who qualify are factors like income, the number of children in a family, and lifestyle choices.

Divorced Parents Policy

Both parents must fill out a Parents' Financial Statement. We will consider the assets of both parents, natural and/or adoptive, if living, before making any award. If the custodial parent has remarried, the committee will consider the assets of the stepparent while keeping in mind the stepparent's obligations to his or her own children.

Parent, Guardian and Step-Parent Policy

In accordance with our policy concerning parents, guardians, and stepparents, please provide the Bryn Mawr Flexible Tuition Program with complete income information by submitting the financial information on one PFS or by submitting individual PFS forms for each parent, guardian and stepparent.
