Girls grow into strong thinkers and active problem-solvers in Bryn Mawr’s Lower School, where superior academics and appropriate risk-taking lead to confident self-advocacy and wide-eyed wonder about the world.
From pre-kindergarten through grade 5, girls try new things, challenge themselves, question, participate, collaborate and lead. Their self-confidence grows as they better understand themselves and find their place in our compassionate, joyful community.

The Lower School curriculum offers a balanced variety of subjects and perspectives. Mathematics, language arts, science, social studies, physical education and computer science are complemented by art, library, music, health and wellness, and world languages.
At Bryn Mawr, we care for the whole girl for the whole day, which means that our students are nourished and supported in and out of class, and before, during and after the school day.
