Welcome New Trustees

The Bryn Mawr School Board of Trustees welcomes nine new members for the 2019-20 academic year. Read more about our new members. 
 
Cristina Jacobs Easton '02
Upper School Principal, Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women 
Cristina Easton has been the Upper School principal at Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women (BLSYW), a 6-12 public charter school in Baltimore city, since 2016. Previously, she was a founding teacher and assistant principal at The Young Women's Leadership School of Brooklyn, and a special education teacher at Bronx Expeditionary Learning High School. After graduating from Bryn Mawr, she attended Smith College. Having been a student, teacher, and administrator in girls and women's institutions, she is deeply committed to the advancement of girls' education. Since returning to Baltimore, she has served on the Bryn Mawr Alumnae Association. In the past year, Cristina has deepened her engagement with Bryn Mawr through an academic collaboration between Bryn Mawr and BLSYW, serving on the Board taskforce for Diversity and Inclusion, and co-facilitating the Alumnae and Parents' Association Book discussion on The Hate You Give

Helene Grady P'22
Vice President for Planning and Budget, Johns Hopkins University 
Helene Grady became Vice President for Planning and Budget at The Johns Hopkins University in November 2012, charged with leading the university's Budget Office in financial planning and performing analysis needed for decisions on allocation of capital and operating funds. Grady joined Johns Hopkins in March 2010, serving first as Associate Dean for Finance and Administration in the School of Nursing. Her role at the school included managing the school's operating and capital budgets and five-year financial plan, and overseeing the student billing, payroll, human resources, facility management and research administration functions. Grady previously served as Deputy Director of Finance for the City of Baltimore for nearly five years and as Philadelphia's Assistant and then Deputy Budget Director for almost four years. She has been a commissioner of the Maryland Health Care Commission and a board member of the College Savings Plans of Maryland. She graduated magna cum laude from La Salle University in 1993 and earned a Master in Public Policy degree in 1996 from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Lexie Bozzuto Greene '95 P'25
Partner and Co-Founder, Bozzuto Greene Art 
Lexie Greene is a partner and co-founder of Bozzuto Greene Art, a fine art gallery and full-service art consulting firm specializing and showcasing artwork by over 20 local and regional artists. Lexie received her undergraduate degree from Colgate University and earned a MA in Arts Administration from New York University. Her past work experience has included The Wallace Foundation, The Solomon R Guggenheim Museum and The Whitney Museum. She served as the President of The Bryn Mawr School Alumnae Association and recently completed two terms as a Bryn Mawr School Trustee. In her role as Trustee, she served on the Committee on Trustees, Development Committee, member of the Lower School Head Search Committee and is a Capital Campaign Co-Chair. She also is a Supported School Trustee at Samuel Ready Scholarships and a member of the Board of Trustees at the Walters Art Museum. At the Walters, she is a member of the Finance Committee, Engagement Committee and Co-chair of the 2019 Walters Gala. 

Rhonda Smith-Wright '95 P'27
Clinical Nurse Instructor, Johns Hopkins University and University of Maryland Schools of Nursing 
Rhonda Smith-Wright currently serves as a Clinical Nurse Instructor for Johns Hopkins University and University of Maryland Schools of Nursing, where she supports the professional learning of graduate students and aspiring registered nurses in community settings. Concurrently, Rhonda consults in numerous health care and public health roles and projects including workforce development, quality, care coordination, and community health assessments. Prior to consulting and while living in Naples, Italy for two years, she successfully led the U.S. Naval Hospital to the U.S. Surgeon General's Blue H. Award for excellence in health promotion activities. Before Rhonda's time overseas, she served as Vice President of Clinical Services for a consortium of community health clinics in Northern California directing programs such as mobile mammography, HIV testing, and diabetes self-management for vulnerable populations in the area. Rhonda holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Michigan, and a master of science degree in nursing from Johns Hopkins University. involvement with the Bryn Mawr School includes membership on the Alumnae Association Board from 2003-2006 and 2016-2019, the Board of Trustees Community and Inclusion Task Force during 2018-2019 school year, Parents Association class parent (2015-2016), and Admissions tour guide for Lower School. 
 
Sheryl Stephenson P'15 '18
Attorney 
Sheryl Stephenson is an attorney and has been sole practitioner of Stephenson Legal Services LLC in Baltimore since 2013. She also serves as Vice President and General Counsel of Colonial Title LLC, where she is responsible for overseeing legal, compliance, escrow account reconciliation and licensing for the title company. She previously served as Managing Member at Equity Insight LLC and Crown Plus Management Co., LLC. She holds a JD from the University of Baltimore and a BBA, Finance from the University of North Texas in Denton. She is a member of the Maryland Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She served as a board member of Hands on Baltimore from 1998-2002. 

Edward "Ted” Winstead P'22
Senior Science Writer and Editor, National Cancer Institute 
Ted Winstead has served as Senior Science Writer and Editor at the National Cancer Institute since 2005, where he writes news and feature stories about all aspects of cancer research for NCI's website, including its Cancer Currents blog. His work involves developing story ideas, interviewing experts, and translating research findings on complex topics such as genomics and immunotherapy for lay audiences. Prior to joining NCI, Ted served as Managing Editor at Genome News Network from 1999-2005, where he led a team that produced an online news magazine about genomics and medicine. He also served as Assistant Editor for Johns Hopkins University's Imagine magazine. He is a 1985 graduate of Gilman School and received a B.S. in Political Science with distinction from Northwestern University in 1989. He holds a Master's Degree in Writing from Johns Hopkins University. 

Jennifer Sheff Yeagle '97 P'27 '30
Counsel, Gordon Feinblatt LLC 
After graduating from Cornell University and the University of Maryland School of Law, Jen began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Peter B. Krauser (former Chief Judge) of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. She has been practicing trust and estate law for over 14 years and is currently Counsel in Gordon Feinblatt's Trust and Estates Practice Group. Jen is involved in her community as a co-chair and founding member of the Estates and Trusts Committee of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, a co-chair of the Membership Committee of the Baltimore Women's Giving Circle and as a member of the Kennedy Krieger Institute Planned Giving Advisory Council. She was recently accepted into the inaugural class of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel's Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute. 

Christine Cross P'21
Parents’ Association Representative
Christine Cross has a background in business development and has been actively involved in the Parents’ Association for the past 12 years. She has served as a member of the Parents’ Association Executive Board since 2015. Previous volunteerism with the school includes serving as parent chair and co-chair for the Middle and Upper Schools, co-chairing Bazaar, and chairing the Annual Fund and several class events. 

Kendra Richardson
Little School Teacher 
Kendra Richardson has been a teacher in The Little School at Bryn Mawr since 2003. She is the faculty-nominated representative to the Board of Trustees for Little and Lower Schools. Kendra holds a BA in English from Coppin State University.

Term Trustees Helene Grady P'22, Lexie Greene '95 P'25, Cristina Jacobs Easton '02, Sheryl Stephenson P'15 '18, Ted Winstead P'22, Rhonda Smith-Wright '95 P'27 and Jennifer Sheff Yeagle '97 P 27 P'30 will serve on the board for the next three years. Parents’ Association President Christine Cross P'21 will serve one year as an ex-officio trustee and Little School teacher Kendra Richardson is a new faculty representative.
