College Matriculation List

The 73 talented and motivated students of The Bryn Mawr School Class of 2016 will attend 54 colleges and universities in 20 states across the U.S. and Washington D.C. Eighty-eight percent will study out of state. Ivy League, “Ivy Plus” and other top-tier institutions are well represented on the Bryn Mawr Class of 2016 college list.

Director of College Counseling Patti Whalen has guided Bryn Mawr girls through this process for 16 years.  Together with counselors Jerry Brown and Courtney Watkins, she works to help girls figure out what they value in an education and what kind of school would fit them best. "What we want to help them do is figure out who they are, what their values are, and how to articulate that to the world," Whalen says

The end goal of the college counseling process at Bryn Mawr is for each girl to find the right "fit" – a program that will be both challenging and fulfilling.
