Bryn Mawr COVID Emergency Tuition Assistance

We recognize that some families are concerned about their ability to afford Bryn Mawr's tuition in view of the economic impact of the pandemic. As designated by the Board of Trustees, Bryn Mawr has made short-term tuition assistance for the 2020-2021 academic year available to current and newly enrolled PK-12 families demonstrating financial need caused by COVID-19.

Application Instructions

In order to use standard criteria to evaluate a family’s ability to pay tuition as well as to provide security for sensitive financial documents, Bryn Mawr utilizes the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) by School & Student Services (SSS) in making financial aid determinations. We ask that families seeking COVID emergency tuition assistance complete their application by May 15, 2020, so that the Committee may make award notifications by May 31, 2020.

Instructions for Current Flexible Tuition Families with a Completed 20-21 PFS

  1. E-mail Rebekah Jackson, Senior Director of Enrollment Management, with your intention to apply for additional emergency aid.

  2. Log in to your PFS and adjust your estimated income for 2020 based on your revised expectations.

  3. In final question 20a. “Other Considerations,” please address the following:

    • How has your family financial situation been adversely impacted by COVID-19?

    • What is your estimate of how long you believe it will take for your current financial situation to improve once the Maryland stay-at-home directive is lifted?

    • Is there any other information that would be helpful for Bryn Mawr to know regarding the impact COVID-19 has had on your family finances?
