Bryn Mawr Online School in Independent School Magazine

Bryn Mawr Online, the school’s fully virtual, diploma-awarding high school, is getting national attention in the spring issue of Independent School Magazine, published by the National Association of Independent Schools.

An article by Justin Curtis P’31, Head of Bryn Mawr Online, discusses the value of creating an independent online school, the benefits it provides to students and families, as well as the challenges and opportunities it brings to institutions.

Now in its second year, Bryn Mawr Online has students logging in to learn each day from three different countries. As the program grows, it continues to be connected to the brick-and-mortar school through a variety of academic and extracurricular means, from Harkness-based discussions to Spirit Weeks, bringing the essence of Bryn Mawr to each online student.

“In two years, we are seeing the impact of our school on students and their families,” writes Curtis. “A recent survey showed unanimous willingness among families to recommend BMOS to others. Comments like "This experience has changed my daughter’s and our family’s life and We are immensely grateful for discovering your school are not only heartening but also motivate us to keep cultivating an educational environment that revolutionizes student experiences.”
