"The Drowsy Chaperone" Tickets On Sale Now!

The Upper School fall musical, “The Drowsy Chaperone,” opens on Friday, November 4!  Over forty Bryn Mawr and Gilman students have been hard at work to bring this musical within a comedy to the stage.

An avid musical theater fan, Man in Chair, sits down for a quiet night at home with his favorite album, the 1928 soundtrack of the fictional Broadway musical “The Drowsy Chaperone.” As his record spins, characters come to life in his apartment and onstage as the audience follows the story of the bride-to-be Janet Van Der Graaf trying to choose between love and fame while her producer plots to foil the wedding plans for the sake of his show. Show stopping song and dance numbers abound amidst the Man in Chair’s anecdotes about theatre and life, making this show-within-a-show a barrel of laughs!

Shows will run  Friday Nov. 4 and Saturday November 5 at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, November 6, at 2 p.m. in Centennial Hall.
