Lauren Cohen, Clarinet

Lauren Cohen is a professional clarinetist, private lesson instructor, and substitute teacher. She has performed with The Maryland Winds and The Johns Hopkins Concert Orchestra. Recently, she played for the Arlington Baptist Church Choir and Orchestra, where she performed for audience members, including Vice President Kamala Harris, for their 2023 Easter Service. Lauren received her Masters of Arts in Instrumental Performance from Morgan State. She also received her Bachelors of Arts in Music and Spanish from North Carolina Central University. Currently, Lauren is the clarinet adjunct instructor at The Suitland High School Creative, Visual, and Performing Arts program in District Heights, MD. Besides clarinet, she teaches lessons on alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and oboe. Lauren is a native of Baltimore, who enjoys spending her time playing Magic the Gathering, and playing with her dog, Diego.
