The Athletics Hall of Fame was established to honor individual athletes, teams, coaches, administrators and those who have made outstanding contributions that have had a significant impact on Bryn Mawr’s athletics program.

Nominations

  • Nominations for the Bryn Mawr Athletics Hall of Fame are accepted on an ongoing basis. To be considered for the inaugural class, nominations must be received by January 5, 2025.
  • Please take a moment to fill out the nomination form, which will require several pieces of key information, including a 750-word statement on why you are nominating the athlete, team, coach, administrator, or advocate. Self-nominations are accepted.
  • Please provide as much supporting information as appropriate for the nominee. Additionally, a current resume or CV is suggested for the process.
  • Supporting documents can be sent by email to Deanna Boyd ‘05 or uploaded via the Nomination Form.

The requirements for each category are as follows:

Athletes

  • Are alumnae of The Bryn Mawr School who have graduated at least 10 years prior to induction. An honoree may be inducted posthumously.
     
  • Participated in at least one sport and brought distinction to themselves and/or Bryn Mawr’s athletic program or prior to the establishment of league play or the Athletics department as we know it today, must have distinguished themselves in the athletics arena in their area of expertise or interest.
     
  • Were positive role models on campus and continue to be an outstanding citizen in the community.
     
  • Have made an impact on campus life and the greater community during their years on campus.

Advocates

  • Have made a major impact on the advancement of the athletics program at The Bryn Mawr School.

Coaches or Administrators

  • Demonstrated exceptional competence and professionalism in making a contribution to the athletics program.
     
  • Were positive role models on campus and continue to be an outstanding citizen in the community.
     
  • Made contributions to or earned recognitions by Conference, Regional and/or National Organizations.

Teams

  • A Varsity-level team that brought distinction to the athletic department by having an outstanding record or accomplishment such as qualifying for a National or Regional Championship, or undefeated season.
     
  • Brought distinction a minimum of 10 years prior to nomination.
