All That Jazz Dance Camp
Girls and boys entering grades 4-6
Director: Emily Tankersley, US Dance teacher,Arts Department Chair,Director of Upper School Dance Company Director of The Dance School at Bryn Mawr
In this camp, dancers of all levels will have the opportunity to explore several styles of jazz dance! Classes may include hip-hop, traditional and contemporary jazz. Throughout the week, in addition to participating in high energy dance classes, students will enjoy dance-related crafts and prepare a short performance for families.

Come play! It’s time to let loose, shake things up and let your imagination run wild. If you like to make up dances at home, then you’ll love creating choreography with your friends at camp. Explore the art of choreography and have fun blending dance with visual art, poetry, stories and theater. Play with crafting your own small props and costume pieces. And at the end of the week, we’ll perform informally for our families.

Do you enjoy both dancing and reading? Then this is the perfect camp for you! Students will be introduced to many dance techniques through literature and popular musical selections. Dancers will participate in ballet, jazz and creative movement classes, explore numerous novels, create story inspired crafts, and prepare special dances for family and friends. We invite dancers with all levels of experience to join us for a fun-filled week!

Pee Wee Tennis for boys and girls is taught by Bryn Mawr’s varsity tennis coach and Little School parent Tilly Taborda-Almaguer. The goal is to build passion for the game! Lessons work on hand/eye coordination, agility, and the introduction of tennis skills in a fun environment. The size of the net is tailored for your young aspiring tennis player to build confidence and success. Spaces are limited to 6 players per session. Cost: $75 for full session or $20 per class. Paying for a full session will guarantee players spot from week to week. Rain make-up (2 max) will happen at the end of each session.
S1 - Mondays/Wednesdays: July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, and 24 or S1 - Tuesdays/Thursdays: July 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, and 25
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Cost: $75 for full session or $20 per class

Sports and Crafts

Instructor: Mimi Walters, Lower School Physical Education Teacher & Varsity Basketball Coach, The Bryn Mawr School
This camp is for children who love playing games, want to learn about different sports and also enjoy creative projects. We’ll have lessons on sports such as tennis, basketball, soccer, baseball, lacrosse and work on skills like throwing and catching. We’ll also have time for fun P.E.-style games and the opportunity to express our creativity through a variety of art projects.

Join Bryn Mawr alumna and Marquette University lacrosse player Bridget Danko for combo camp! Girls will learn the rules of play, develop skills and make new friends while practicing the techniques and strategies that will prepare girls for future competitive play in lacrosse and field hockey.

This camp is about developing basic to more advanced skills and fundamentals in order to become a strong lacrosse player. Emphasis will be placed on stick work, game concepts and position-specific techniques, as well as having fun! Girls will be grouped by age and ability.

Get ready to play some basketball! This exciting camp will teach campers effective game strategies while improving their skills and techniques. Girls will be grouped by age and ability. Note: This camp will be held in the Lower School gym room due to Student Center construction.
