Welcome, New Faculty and Staff!

Bryn Mawr is excited to introduce this year's new faculty and staff. They bring a wide range of professional experiences, interests, and talents from as nearby as our own school neighborhood, and as far as Mexico, El Salvador and Colombia. Read more about these wonderful new additions to the Bryn Mawr community.
Rosie Bartoletti joins the Upper School World Languages and Cultures Department teaching Spanish and Global Perspectives. Rosie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Loras College in Iowa, where she spent two semesters abroad in Spain and Argentina. Rosie earned her Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Baltimore County. Rosie comes to us from Gerstell Academy where she taught this past school year. Before she began teaching, Rosie served as an interpreter for Montana Dental Outreach Teams, traveling to Ecuador, Colombia, Haiti, Serbia, Nicaragua and Ghana. 

Erica Bley will split her time between Upper and Middle Schoolworking with Upper School Learning Support and serving as a Middle School counselor. Erica earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Colgate University and a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Loyola College of Maryland. Erica has worked in schools and the private sector for over ten years. Most recently,  Erica worked at LifeGrowth Counseling, providing outpatient mental health counseling and group workshops for children, adults, and families. Erica enjoys travelling, camping, the outdoors, walking, reading, and being with family and friends.  

Ann-Barron Carneal P’22 will serve as a long term substitute in the Middle School Mathematics Department. Ann-Barron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a Masters in Middle School Education from Lesley University. Ann-Barron has taught in a number of independent schools including The Hill School, Gordon School, Potomac School, Sidwell Friends, Friends of Baltimore, Park and most recently at Mount Royal Elementary and Middle Schools.  

Technical Director Bob Denton studied technical theater at Towson University. Before coming to Bryn Mawr, Bob served as technical director, resident designer, head carpenter and teacher at Milburn Stone Theater. He has also worked as a designer, fabricator and teacher at local theaters and for several area schools. Broadway World Baltimore selected Bob as the recipient of the Best Scenic Design award in 2013, 2014 and 2016. We look forward to all the creativity Bob will bring to Bryn Mawr’s theater.  

Little School welcomes Terri Doughney as an Infant Teacher. Terri holds a Bachelors of Arts in English and a Master Certification in teaching both from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Terri began her teaching career in Baltimore County Public Schools teaching high school English, and has taught writing at Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. Terry also completed a new farmer training course through University of Maryland,  and spent a summer as a farm assistant managing a five acre rural vegetable, herb and flower farm, and caring for Nigerian dwarf goats.

Bryn Mawr alumna, Emily Fetting ’02 joins the Upper School as the dean of students. Emily graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. For ten years, Emily has worked at the National Cathedral School where she has held a number of positions including Middle School dean of students, director of global outreach, and interim Upper School dean of students. Emily is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion work. She comes well prepared to work closely with students on these identity issues.

Meredith Good joins the College Counseling office as an administrative assistant. Meredith is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science and Technology. Last January, Meredith completed an undergraduate research internship at the Ocean Mammal Institute in Maui, studying the effects of boats and human activity on Hawaiian Humpback whales. Meredith has worked as an Animal Training Aide at the National Aquarium of Baltimore. She has also worked at Bryn Mawr as a summer camp counselor since 2014.

Upper School Director Nicole Hood earned a Bachelor of Arts in City Planning from the University of Virginia. She earned her Masters and Ph.D. in the History of Art from the University of Michigan and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership and Policy from University of Richmond. Nicole comes to us from the University of Chicago Laboratory School where she served as the Director of All School Programs and Partnerships. Prior to Lab, Nicole served as the Chair of the English Department at St. Catherine’s School in Richmond, Virginia.

Sean McCormick will join the Upper School Arts Department as the Photography teacher. Sean earned his Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts and Photography.  Sean has most recently taught at Anne Arundel Community College, Howard Community College and Montgomery Community College. Sean is an accomplished professional freelance photographer, digital capture technician and retoucher. He has had the opportunity to work with many notable clients including Citibank, Nestle, Coach, Estee Lauder, and Bloomingdales just to name a few. Sean is also fluent in Spanish and French and familiar with Portuguese!  We are fortunate to welcome Sean onto our Arts team.

Amy McLoughlin P’24, 27, 29  joins the Lower School as a kindergarten teacher. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science from the College of Fine Arts and Communications at Towson University and a Master’s Equivalency in Early Childhood Education from the University of Phoenix. Amy comes to us from Baltimore County Public Schools, where she most recently taught Kindergarten at Northwood Elementary School. There she was known for the songs and dances she makes up to help students learn about school and life.   

Nataly Molina joins the Upper School World Languages and Cultures Department as a Spanish teacher. Nataly attended Universidad Evangelica in her native country of El Salvador, where she studied medicine, nutrition and dietetics. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Management from University of Madras in India. Nataly has taught English and Spanish to students of all ages in El Salvador, India, and Baltimore area schools including Friends School and Perry Hall High School. She enjoys bringing her firsthand understanding of different countries and cultures to her classroom.

Keshia Nelson joins the Little School as a teacher for the afternoon mixed ages classroom.  Keshia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Studies from Towson University, and started out as a coordinator and teacher’s assistant at the Archdiocese of Baltimore Deaf Ministry.  Most recently, she worked as an early childhood educator at First Foundations Learning Center and Hampstead Hill Academy. Born in Germany, Keshia has lived in France, Texas and now Baltimore.  

Jennifer Parrott​ joins the Upper School Physical Education and Dance Department and will teach Upper School dance. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and theatre with a minor in dance from Bucknell University, and her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Jennifer has extensive training in ballet, jazz and modern dance and choreography and most recently taught dance at the University of Delaware. She has worked with students of all levels. We can’t wait for Gym Drill.  

Noah Robinson joins the Lower School as a science teacher. Noah earned a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Goucher College, where he won The Milly Bielaski Prize in Chemistry for his outstanding scholarship in the subject. While enrolled in an advanced degree program at University of Maryland, he caught the teaching bug and has not looked back. Recently, Noah worked at the Park School where he served as a long term substitute in the Lower School. It isn’t long after you meet Noah that you’ll recognize that his energy and passion for getting students excited about science is positively infectious!  

Claire Sargo will join the Middle School tech team as an innovation integrator and computer science teacher.  Claire earned a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science, with a concentration in resource management from Elizabethtown College. Claire comes to us after 12 years at Mount de Sales Academy, where she served as the science department chair and taught Upper School science, computer science and STEM exploration courses.

The Admissions team welcomes Kelly Stallard as an administrative assistant. Kelly attended Syracuse University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Music Education. Before pursuing a career in administrative work, Kelly served as the director of children’s theater programs at Music Training Center in PA. A fun fact about Kelly is that she has trained staff and performed as an interactive theater artist at Renaissance festivals in Sterling New York.

Noël Veihmeyer will be directing Camerata in the Upper School this fall. ​Noël holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Wheaton College Conservatory and a Master of Choral Conducting from Messiah College. Locally, she has taught music at Berwyn Christian School in College Park and Perrywood Elementary School in Largo Maryland. She has experience as a choir director and a private vocal instructor. Noel has also run vocal workshops for high school choirs preparing for competition in Prince George’s and Howard counties. We are looking forward to the energy Noel will bring to our choral performances.

Karla Villa joins the Little School as an afternoon infant teacher. Karla was born in California and moved to Mexico at age three. There, she attended the University of Latinoamerica where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design.  Soon after completing her degree, she moved back to the United States and discovered her love for working with children. Before Bryn Mawr, Karla worked as a nanny helping children grow in a healthy and creative environment. Karla has an interest photography and languages, speaking both Spanish and English.
