Cory Birdsall Named Director of Advancement

Head of School Sue Sadler announced that Cory Birdsall has been named Bryn Mawr's new Director of Advancement.
Cory comes to Bryn Mawr most recently from Roland Park Country School, where she has served as the Director of Development since 2015. In this role, Cory led a team of eight development and alumni relations professionals in advancing the school’s fundraising and constituent engagement priorities, including the launch of a capital campaign, creating new giving societies and leading successful annual fundraising. Additionally, Cory immersed herself in the life of the school by serving as both a class and club advisor and co-teaching a one-week Middle School course and the school’s Philanthropic Literacy Board for students.

Cory previously served in development roles at The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, McDonogh School and One Love Foundation and as an assistant state’s attorney in Montgomery County. Cory holds a B.S from Washington and Lee University, where she was also captain of the women’s lacrosse team, and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Notably, Cory’s new title also marks an exciting shift for the school. The Office of Development will now be known as the Office of Advancement, a more contemporary name for the work that this talented team does to advance Bryn Mawr’s institutional priorities through annual giving, major gifts, donor stewardship, community outreach and data management.

Cory will begin her role at Bryn Mawr on June 23, 2021.
