Summer Session Registration Now Open

In keeping with our Bryn Mawr Way strategic plan goal of allowing more flexibility and individualization in the Upper School curriculum, we are excited to introduce Summer Session—a new program beginning in 2019 that offers credit-bearing summer courses for Upper School students entering grades 9-12.
Summer Session will allow more flexibility in how girls choose to complete their coursework. By taking credit-bearing classes during the summer, students can open up time for Personalized Pathways or other coursework of interest during the school year or simply opt to create a better balance for their schedule.

Here are some details: The full Summer Session will run for five weeks in June and July. Students may complete a one semester/half credit course during Session I (June 17-July 3) or Session II (July 15-July 24), or a full year/one credit course during the full Summer Session from June 17 to July 23, which includes a “semester break” over July 4-5. The cost to families will be $1495 for a full credit course and $995 for a half credit course.

The 2019 Summer Session courses are:
  • Studio Art Foundations (.5 credit), Session II
  • Contemporary Art Practices (.5 credit), Session II
  • Introduction to Computer Science (.5 credit), Session I
  • AP Computing Principles (1 credit), Full Session
  • United States History (1 credit), Full Session
