Lower School "Lacy's" Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Lower School hosted the first-ever “Lacy’s” Thanksgiving Day Parade to kick off this week’s Thanksgiving festivities. The Lacy’s Day Parade—a play on the famous New York City event— was named in honor of first grade teacher Mary Daly Lacy, who is celebrating her 40th year at Bryn Mawr.

Second and third grade students built and decorated floats and balloons that were pulled by robots through the cheering Lower School crowd. Doing their best Al Roker and Hoda Kotb impersonations, Ms. Broadus and Ms. Tyler provided introductions and commentary on each performance in the parade, which included lively sing-and dance-alongs and poetry readings.
