First Day of School

The first day of the school year was fabulous, thanks especially to the wonderful Class of 2018 who set the tone with a spirited carpool. SGA President Raven Brown '18 gave a great speech at Opening Convocation, and the seniors loved getting daisies from the fifth graders at the end of the ceremony!

Middle School Retreats

Middle Schoolers enjoyed some great bonding time at the beginning of the year as they headed out on grade-level retreats, with the seventh graders visiting Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center and the eighth graders going to NorthBay Adventure Camp. The sixth graders also took part in fun activities on the Bryn Mawr campus.

Kindergartners' First Visit to the Owl Gate

In what may be the cutest start-of-school tradition, each year in early September the kindergartners take their very first trip to the Owl Gate. After taking a class photo, each girl gets the chance to walk through the gate on her own and make a wish!

Brigance Brigade Charity Football Game

Congratulations to Athletic Association President Maia Faraone '18 and the many organization members who helped to make the first-ever charity flag football game between Bryn Mawr and Roland Park a great success! Students raised money for the Brigance Brigade, an organization that helps those affected by ALS. Seniors from the two schools faced off in the match, which ended in a 14-14 tie. But everyone won by helping to raise $1,500 for the organization!

Upper School Club Fair

At Bryn Mawr, there's a club for every interest! In late September, the Carey Quad was buzzing with excitement as our Upper School girls gathered to learn about and choose from the more than 50 student-led clubs offered.

Upper School Retreats

Students in the ninth, tenth and eleventh grades enjoyed some time together on their grade-level retreats in mid-September. Activities included a climbing wall, zip-lining, high-ropes challenges, slime making and, of course, s'mores!
