Winter Spirit Day

Winter Spirit Day was tons of fun! It featured winter athlete introductions, a step routine from the Middle School Dance Company and a rousing rendition of the national anthem from Clarke Williams '16. The highlight of the day was the annual faculty-student basketball game, which the faculty narrowly won, 8-7!

Lower School Girls Night Out

In early December, the tenth grade hosted Girls Night Out, an exciting event for girls in grades K-2 that featured dancing, fingernail and face painting, a cupcake bar and more! The Lower School girls loved hanging out with the "big girls" for a fun night out.

V. Basketball Lower School Night

On December 16, a large group of Lower School students came out to cheer on our Varsity Basketball team as they played Mount De Sales. A special highlight was the half-time relay featuring several brave Lower School volunteers.

Kindergarten Gingerbread

In December the kindergartners spent time reading all about gingerbread men, babies, friends and girls. Then, they got the chance to decorate their own gingerbread people and houses...and in case you were wondering, NO, there's no such thing as too many decorations on a gingerbread house!

Ada Week

In December the Upper School celebrated Ada Week, which recognizes computer science pioneer Ada Lovelace and other women who have been instrumental to the development of technology as we know it today. Activities included window painting, advisory challenges and a special convocation.

Winter Concerts

Before break, parents and teachers were treated to several lovely winter concerts from all divisions. Girls in grades K-12 showed off what they have been learning in music classes, from fun songs and dances to incredible harmonies. A special highlight of the Upper School concert was the collaboration with the Gilman String Ensemble.

Spreading Seasonal Cheer

All around campus, students helped to put up white lights and snowflakes to celebrate the season. In the Upper School, diversity coalition CAFE also hosted a "Greetings, Readings and Eatings" event where students gathered to sip hot chocolate and share memories and stories related to the season.
