Mawrtian Minutes: Middle Schoolers Raise
More than $11,000 for Charity

Students in grades six, seven and eight take part in the
St. Jude Math-a-thon to raise money for children in need

For nearly two decades, students in the Middle School have taken part each year in the the St. Jude Math-a-thon to raise money for patients at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The annual event challenges students to raise money by securing pledges from family and friends and then completing math problems through the St. Jude Math-a-thon website.

This year, students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades raised an impressive grand total of $11,181! Even better, since 1987, when Bryn Mawr began participating in the Math-a-thon, students have raised a total of $150,157. Congratulations to all of the participants, and special thanks to all of the family and friends who supported them.
