    Elizabeth Glusman Green
Our biggest news is that the kids are growing. We are down to 3 teens as my oldest is now 20. He is in college and trying to figure out what he wants to do. Our 18 year old is spending her freshman year in Israel. We are incredibly proud of her. Our third has his learners permit and after I had him pull off onto the shoulder to stop the beeping going in behind us, he remarked that I was much calmer than he as he thought we would crash. Our almost 14 year old is editor of her 8th grade yearbook and busy planning her sweatshirt. I still have my 8th grade sweatshirt with all of our signatures on it. (Somehow my 5th grade signed skirt was lost). Professionally, I finished my term as a founding co-chair of a Jewish professional women group and am spreading my BMS instilled speaking skills on various local boards and speaking about estate planning to groups around the Baltimore metro area.

After 3 years in Japan, my husband, Drew Thompson, and our son James have put down roots in Portland, Oregon. We bought a house and are expecting our second child (a girl!) in just over a month! I'm a freelance academic editor and translator, Drew works as a technical translator for a Japanese tech firm, and James is excited to be a big brother. He also loves hanging out with Julie Sabatier's boys, and we're always happy to see any Mawrtians who make it out to the PNW!

I am about to start my 22nd year (!!) as a teacher, and my 12th teaching at the Maret School in DC. One super interesting thing that happened this year was I was selected to compete in this year's Jeopardy! Teachers Tournament. The episodes aired in May so it's no spoiler to say that I didn't win (though I did manage to snag a wild card spot for the semifinal round and attempted to advance to the final, alas without success), but I had a blast and met some super cool fellow educators with whom I am still in touch. I highly recommend taking the online test if you're into trivia and think you'd be interested in being on Jeopardy! It took me (and most other contestants) several tries before making it through. Go for it!

A highlight of the year for me was celebrating my 25th BMS reunion with classmates. My Bryn Mawr experience continues to be the most influential one of my life and I feel great gratitude across the miles and years. My daughters are entering 5th and 7th grade at there (co ed!) independent school here in NY. I just finished my third year as CEO of Little Flower Children & Family Services of NY, a 90-year old charity with a mission to help vulnerable children and adults. Feeling homesick for Baltimore even though I've lived away longer than I lived there! Best wishes to all Mawrtians.

This Fall marks the beginning of the fifth year of the progressive independent school my husband and I founded in downtown Chicago, Bennett Day School.  We currently serve close to 200 students in preK-4th grades and launch high school admissions next month for the 2019-'20 school year!  If you know anyone in Chicago looking for an incredible forward-thinking, nurturing, progressive preK-12 school, send them our way to check out Bennett!

    Derrica McCullers Lane
I just began a new role with Bleacher Report but in much more exciting news, I had the honor (and amazement) of celebrating the 1st birthday of my son Noble Oliver!

    Julie E. Sabatier
On January 17, 2018 my husband Levi Cecil and I celebrated the birth of our second son: Warren Frank Cecil. I'm hoping to put my BMS education to good use raising two sweet, capable, sensitive boys.
