Part-time Upper School Photography teacher

The Bryn Mawr School seeks a part-time Upper School Photography teacher to begin August, 2019 to teach two semester arts electives (.40 FTE). Teaching assignments include an introductory course in black and white photography which requires guiding students to: use a 35-mm camera, use lighting effectively, appreciate photo composition in order to improve their own photography, develop black and white films, and make prints in the school's state of the art darkroom. The level II course requires familiarity with advanced techniques with an emphasis on fine printing. Facility using telephoto and wide-angle lenses and medium format cameras is essential. Interest and experience in digital photography, graphic design and arts curriculum development is a plus.
