  • Adventures in 3D Modeling

    Do you like to invent or create your own designs? Join us in exploring how to make 3D models on Tinkercad, an easy-to-use online modeling platform. Each day will have different themed challenges where you will learn new techniques and skills. Since the camp will be through Zoom, campers will be able to share their designs with each other. This camp is for both beginners and experienced Tinkercad designers!

  • An Introduction to Introspection: How to Navigate Middle School

    Have you ever used the phrase “my best friend knows me better than I know myself”? Have you ever wondered about why you do what you do or what makes you, YOU? This week we will examine who you are and what it means to be introspective. We will discuss healthy coping mechanisms for stress, and learn introductory psychology terms for context. We will do exercises online including: Self-tests (Yes! Magazines and other fun quizzes), practice breathing and meditation, and talk about what makes YOU special. You will learn how to be introspective in finding your strengths and how to use them effectively to navigate life’s next stage.

    Help take care of your whole self with this body, mind, and spirit camp. We will get our bodies moving with a dance party or group activity, relax with stretching and yoga, and soothe our minds with meditation, sketching and journaling. All of this while enjoying time together with friends!

    Make friendship bracelets with Ms. Richards this summer! She will teach you how to make different patterns and variations each day. This camp will offer a creative outlet for your daughter and allow her to make bracelets for herself, family members, friends, or anyone who may need a pick-me-up!

    Get started in bullet journaling (complete with doodles and stickers and lots of washi tape!) to create your own system of organization. You can choose to track daily, monthly or annual goals, accomplishments, schedules, and whatever else you choose. Each day we will focus on new sections to add to the journal and work through doodle tutorials.

    This beginner level dance camp will introduce young students to a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, and hip hop. During this week, we will also discuss and practice beat, tempo, and spatial awareness, plus enjoy dance games and lots of creative movement practices. We will work on a choreographed piece to share with families at the end of the week!

    Come travel the world from home! Students will practice the Spanish language while learning about the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. We will explore history, food, crafts, art, and so much more! We will “visit” a variety of Spanish-speaking countries during the week and learn about what makes them so special. Students will learn vocabulary related to our activities that will help them build their Spanish skills.

  • What's for Dinner?

    Each day, campers will make one or two dishes (desserts, salads, side dishes, and/or appetizers) that can be served at dinner that evening. Please Note: Some parent involvement will be necessary when cutting or using a mixer, but that will be kept to a minimum. Ovens and stoves will not need to be used during the session, but dishes may need to be heated or cooked before you serve them that evening.

    Instructor: Lisa Warren, Certified Yoga Instructor and LS World Languages, The Bryn Mawr School
    Make time for your child to relax each afternoon with beginner’s yoga. Students will start to learn about controlling their breath and bodies. Poses are taught through music, imagination, and play, and stories and props are sure to make an appearance! During these classes, kids will talk about the world and nature through a wide variety of yoga postures and activities.
