Library Intern

The Bryn Mawr School is in search of a graduate student in Library and Information Science or School Library Media to complete an internship in the Edith Hamilton Library.  The Edith Hamilton Library serves the Middle and Upper School students and faculty of the Bryn Mawr School.  Responsibilities could include reading and research outreach to Middle School students, collaboration with Middle School faculty, collection development for the Middle School collection, creating library subject guides, cataloging and processing of books, working at the library circulation/information desk and assisting with reserves. Hours between 7:45am - 4:00pm are negotiable.

This is a non-paying position.  Our team is committed to communicating and coordinating with colleges/universities to ensure the intern receives college credit for services rendered during the internship.

We welcome the perspectives and experiences of people from diverse backgrounds and consider a diverse faculty essential to offering our students an outstanding educational experience. A demonstrated commitment to equity pedagogy and cultural competence is essential.

Qualified candidates should send a letter of interest, resume, and the contact information for three references to Elaine Swyryn, Associate Head of School, swyryne@brynmawrschool.org using “Library Intern” in the subject line.
