Interim Certified Athletic Trainer (Maternity Leave Coverage)

The Bryn Mawr School is seeking a highly motivated, professional, and team-oriented Certified Athletic Trainer to fill a maternity leave vacancy. This role is critical in supporting our athletic programming and ensuring the health and safety of our student-athletes.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Athletic Department, School Nurse, and coaching staff to provide high-level care within our school community.

Position Overview

  • Duration: 10–12 weeks (Beginning late August).
  • Compensation: $50 per
  • Hours: 30–40 hours per
  • Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM – 6:30/7:30 PM
  • Reports to: Director of

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Following the NATA scope of practice, the Interim Athletic Trainer will be responsible for:

  • Clinical Care: Injury prevention, clinical evaluation/diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, and rehabilitation/reconditioning for Middle and Upper School student-athletes.
  • Coverage: Providing onsite coverage for home events and practices throughout the fall and winter season.
  • Communication: Maintaining regular contact with the Director of Athletics, School Nurse, team physicians, coaches, and parents regarding athlete health and treatment
  • Administration: * Maintaining a daily treatment log and filing necessary injury/incident
    • Working with the School Nurse on annual physicals and supervising injury
    • Overseeing athletic training room inventory and medical kits for
    • Assisting in the supervision of part-time
  • Safety: Monitoring environmental risks to ensure a safe playing environment for all

Recommended Employment Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s
  • Certification: Current NATABOC certification in good
  • Licensure: Must possess or be eligible for Maryland State
  • Safety: Current CPR/AED and First Aid
  • Experience: Proven experience in a clinical or school-based athletic training setting is
