Many students excel in athletics and would like to pursue their interests in college. At Bryn Mawr, there are a number of resources provided by the Athletics Office, varsity coaches and the College Counseling Office. Athletes interested in learning more about the recruiting process and various college programs should make an appointment to meet with Kim Simons, Assistant Athletic Director, and/or Wendy Kridel, Director of Athletics along with their coach, prior to the end of junior year. Both Ms. Kridel and Ms. Simons can provide individual counseling and advice for student-athletes and their parents.
There are additional resources that can be helpful in the college recruiting process, including The Bryn Mawr School Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete available through the Athletic Office. The NCAA publishes an informative pamphlet called the "Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete," which is available online at www.ncaa.org.
Students should register with the NCAA Clearinghouse during their senior year. For information and registration, go to www.ncaaclearinghouse.net. Students can also obtain the NCAA clearinghouse pamphlet and release form through the Athletic Office.
