Alumnae Awards

Every year during Alumnae Weekend, the Alumnae Association recognizes the outstanding contributions of Bryn Mawr alumnae to their communities or professions by presenting the Young, Senior, and Distinguished Alumnae Awards.

The Young Alumnae Award is given to an alumna who has graduated within the last 20 years and who has distinguished herself in the community or in her profession.

The Senior Alumnae Award goes to an alumna who graduated 50 or more years ago and who has made a significant contribution to the community as a dedicated volunteer or as a career professional.

The Distinguished Alumnae Award is given to an alumna who embodies the highest ideal of the school through her professional or volunteer commitments.  Leadership, a humanistic spirit, creativity, community involvement and professional achievement are among the qualities to be considered.

Help Bryn Mawr honor deserving alumnae and nominate them for an award. A subcommittee of the alumnae board will consider all nominations carefully and confidentially.  Please be sure to include:

  • your name and class year
  • the name and class year of your nominee
  • the reason you believe she should receive an award.
