The 8th-grade trip to Camp Letts, in Edgewater, MD, was a highlight of our year. We were split into teams of eight or nine, with a specific teacher as our team leader, and we had bunks of either 11 or 4. It was tons of fun. The sixth-grade conducted a buoyancy experiment during midterm. Buoyancy means: the tendency or capacity to remain afloat in a liquid (or rise in air or gas). For our experiment, we built boats using only one piece of cardboard, 12 inches of duct tape, one sheet of white paper, one sheet of tin foil, and a sheet of plastic wrap. more...
